About the Role
Experis is currently recruiting a Software Developer for a 6-month assignment with one of our clients in the energy trading sector. You’ll join an agile and technical IT Trading Team working on a real-time data platform supporting 24/7 trading operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the energy transition by building software solutions that process large volumes of streaming market data in real time.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a trading data and execution platform

Build and optimize data loaders for external and internal data sources

Implement solutions in a cloud-based (AWS) environment

Maintain codebase and address IT security and technical debt issues
-
Provide Level 3 support and coordinate with support teams
? Your Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development
-
Strong Java skills with experience in microservices architecture

Solid knowledge of SQL and basic database admin tasks

Exposure to Kafka or other data streaming technologies

Proficient with Spring Boot framework

Familiar with Unix/Linux command line, Git, and bash scripting

Basic Python knowledge or quick adaptability to new languages

Interest in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IT security

Experience with time-series databases

Interest in statistics and data analysis

Knowledge or curiosity about energy or financial trading
