Operational Management:
Implement performance management systems to track operational effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities, particularly for revenue-generating streams.
Policy and Compliance:
Develop and maintain organisational policies ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations for mid-sized NGOs.
Manage budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with the IHF’s strategic objectives.
Programme Management
The Chief Operating Officer will play a critical role in managing and delivering major programmes of work for the IHF. Budget Management: Oversee programme budgets, ensuring resources are optimally allocated and adapted to evolving needs without compromising quality or scope.
Appoint and manage team members across various projects, ensuring alignment with programme goals and deadlines.
Third-Party Management: Oversee contributions from external partners and ensure they align with the IHF’s long-term goals and values.
Manage interdependencies and connections between various projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and minimising redundancies.
Regularly report programme progress to the CEO and relevant senior leaders, providing transparent updates and actionable insights.
Risk Management: This COO will bring experience of successful programme management, that can translate into navigating the complexities of a global membership organisation. Commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, financial analysis, and managing diverse revenue streams.
Strong project management skills, adept at handling complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
A master’s degree is an advantage but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
